An introduction ...

Hello.  My name is Justin.  I live in beautiful Lawrence, Kansas in the United States.  The deep love of the sport of baseball has been passed down to me from my mother and my aunt and uncle.  On November 1st, 2015 the Kansas City Royals (my local team) won the World Series.

Words could not express my emotional state.  I woke up the next morning wondering "what am I going to do between now and April 3, 2016, opening day of the 2016 season?"

For whatever reason I found a Cricket game on TV.  I watched a few minutes and thought "well this seems interesting."  To a baseball fan, cricket is similar yet different, which makes it intriguing.  Furthermore, I work with a lot of people from the Indian Subcontinent, many of whom both love cricket and are happy to explain patiently the concept of "lbw" to an American.

will document my daily education in the game of cricket.  Please follow me on twitter.

One final note, due to my TV options I seem to get a lot of games from New Zealand.  I'm not sure if this makes me a fan of the Black Caps, but, to the degree I get to watch games, I guess they will be New Zealand games.
